Building in Lake Wylie
Two approvals rather than one. York County handles the permit, and anything close to the water also answers to Duke Energy, which manages the shoreline on this lake. We establish both before a design is drawn rather than after you have fallen for a layout. Slope is the other cost driver: falling ground is exactly what makes a negative edge worth building here, and it also makes retaining and drainage real line items. Getting equipment down a narrow lakefront lot is the third question, and we answer it on the first site visit.
We keep the service radius tight on purpose — roughly an hour of the shop. That's how crews arrive when they said they would, and how we get back out quickly if something needs attention after handoff. Lake Wylie is comfortably inside it.
