About Aqua Pools
Owner-Run, and Small on Purpose
Aqua Pools & Outdoor Living builds gunite pools, spas, and the outdoor living space that goes around them. We only ever run a handful of projects at once. That is a deliberate choice, and it is the reason the same person stays on your job from the first phone call to the day the water goes in, rather than handing you off to whoever picks up at the office.

The Owner
Robert Parks
Robert grew up around Charlotte and has spent most of his working life in the outdoor living construction industry. Over the past 25 years he has built some of Charlotte's most beautiful landscapes, hardscapes, and pools.
To this day he still designs his projects himself, and takes pride in the backyards his customers receive: spaces that are not only beautiful, but usable.
On the personal side, Robert is a fun guy to be around. Smart, easy-going, and always telling everyone about his backyards. He spends his weekends at his Charleston home, enjoying the company of his wife Ann and his two dogs.

Our Story
A pool, a patio and a planting plan usually mean three companies, three contracts, and three numbers to ring when the schedule slips.
Removing that is why the two halves of this business are now one. Charlotte Landscape & Patio handled the landscape and hardscape work while the pools ran under their own name. We folded them together in 2025: same owner, same crews, one name over the door. Some of the work in the gallery was built under the old one.
Around Robert is a settled group of stone masons, gunite crews, and finish trades, most of them on our jobs for years. It is why the stonework looks the same standard from one backyard to the next. You are not getting whichever crew was free that week.
He is also the ceiling on how much we take on. Every build goes across his desk and onto his schedule, which caps how many can run at once. We would rather turn work away than stretch a crew across more yards than it can properly cover.
Every project starts with a 3D rendering of your actual yard, so the layout is settled before anyone commits a dollar to it. Landscaping, lighting, drainage and fencing are ours as well, which keeps the whole backyard on one contract and one schedule.
Today we build across Charlotte, Lake Norman, Huntersville, Mooresville, Concord, Waxhaw, and the communities in between.

How We Work
Four Rules We Work To
These four cover what goes wrong on most builds. Writing them down means nobody here has to work it out in the moment, and it means you can hold us to them.
Answer the Phone
Robert's mobile number is on the paperwork and he answers it directly. Most build problems are small and fixable if they're raised the same week.
Show It Before You Build It
Every quote includes a 3D rendering of the actual yard, revised until the layout is right. Nothing is dug before it's signed off.
Price and Schedule Up Front
An itemized proposal and a target date at contract. If the date moves, the call comes the same day.
Keep It One Project
Pool, hardscape, kitchen, lighting, planting, and fencing on one contract with our own crews. One schedule, one warranty, one number to call.
Our Process
The Same Five Steps, Every Time
Consultation
We walk the yard together, take measurements, and talk through your vision for the space.
Quote & 3D Rendering
An itemized quote and a 3D rendering of the yard, drawn to the measurements taken on site.
Design Review
You look it over and tell us what to change. We revise the layout, the features, and the finishes until it's right.
Construction
Six to eight weeks from dig to swimming on a typical build, with transparent updates as we move through the process.
Startup & Handoff
Once water's in, our maintenance crew sets up the system and manages it for the first few weeks to ensure a smooth startup.
Let's Talk
Come See the Work
Our recent clients are happy to talk, and there is almost always an active jobsite you can walk. Ask for either one and Robert will set it up. We would rather you saw the work in person than took our word for it.
